The Chapel is the largest of our 3 self-catering holiday properties. It can accommodate up to 13 guest in the 3 sizeable bedrooms, with the addition of three portable beds and two leather chesterfield bed settees.  The Chapel is independenly quality assessed every year and each time attains a Gold 4 Star rating from Visit England.

On the ground floor of The Chapel the 40 foot lounge houses a full size pool table, a large smart television with Sky TV, 4 comfortable sofas’ (one being a sofa-bed), and a baby grand piano.  There is also a Wii, an Xbox 360 and several board games for guests to use.

​

A beautiful walnut staircase leads up to a spacious open plan kitchen/dining room, which was designed for families and entertaining.  The 6-foot oak dining table seats up to 12 guests, and with a very sociable breakfast bar the cook doesn’t get left out of the fun, making hosting any occasion a pleasure, and the dishwasher helps too!  Full length windows overlooking the secluded gardens and entrance, a chandelier and subdued lighting under the units create a perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening.

The utility room off of the kitchen has an additional fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, and of course another toilet (you can’t have too many of those!)

The master bedroom is on the first floor.  It has a high ceiling, chandelier, a king size four poster bed and sumptuous burgundy carpet.  Full sized patio windows overlook the secluded front courtyard and garden, and reclaimed 8 foot doors lead into a characterful well equipped en suite.  The room oozes romance and luxury.  And to add to the flexibility of The Chapel, we now have a king size leather Chesterfield sofa bed in the bedroom just in case you need more room for those extra guests.

However, occasionally you do have to bring the family who won’t be disappointed with the two further double bedrooms on the second floor.  Both have high ceilings, exposed beams, flint walls and windows with far reaching views, and of course their own ensuite.  Both bedrooms have 6 foot zip and link beds which can remain as one large bed or they can be divided into two, 3 foot single adult size beds.  We also have 3 single portable beds which can be placed in the top bedrooms for extra guests.

All bedrooms are fully equipped and have a television with free view and inbuilt DVD player, and also a hair dryer.  Also, all portable beds and sofa beds have mattress toppers to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible.

To the rear of The Chapel there is a private secluded garden area, which has a very old and unique alcove made of flint, stone and brick.  We've made that into an outside dining area with professionally hand made built in seating and two dining tables for guests to enjoy their time eating, drinking or just relaxing outside.  We've also added gentle lighting to the garden and dining area for when it gets dark but you still want to stay outside and chill!  And for guests who would like to have use of a hot tub for their stay, Goodwins in Margate hire them out currently for £275 for up to one week, this includes fresh hot water delivered by them for the new guests to enjoy.  Delivery is free and we don't charge for its use when it comes with hot water, we are happy to keep it hot for you to enjoy!

Finally, in the sitting room by the elegant staircase there is a servant’s bell.  However, the one thing missing in this amazing property is the servant.  She was last heard saying that she's definitely on strike for the foreseeable future, so push the bell at your own risk!

Check in time for The Chapel is 3pm, and departure is 10am, although if no guests are leaving the day you arrive, and no guests are arriving the day you leave, it might be possible to have an early check-in and later departure.  Please feel free to ask.
