The Chapel is a very large and characterful, part 13th and part 18th century grade II listed building of historical importance.  It can accommodate between 2 and 10 guests, and has been given a Gold 4 Star rating from Visit Britain.

The Chapel lounge is rather large at 13 meters long, and easily accommodates a full size American pool table, a very large television with free view, several comfortable sofas' and a baby grand piano.  A Wii and xbox 360 are also provided for guests to use in this lovely room, and with walls 3 foot thick, it doesn't matter how badly you play the piano or how much noise you make whilst playing on the Wii or xbox, nobody should hear you!  The thick walls also have the benefit of keeping this beautiful room comfortably cool on hot summer days, and wonderfully warm on cold winter ones.

The lovely reclaimed walnut staircase leads up to the first floor, where there is an open plan, fully fitted kitchen/dining room.  The dining table seats up to 8 people, and the adjoining breakfast bar with three additional tall chairs, caters for extra guests.  These chairs are particularly popular with adults and children alike, and there is also a high chair available for the younger diner. This impressive kitchen was designed for both families and entertaining, and with the microwave, dishwasher, fridge and additional fridge/freezer, it is designed to be able to cook and entertain with ease.  Full length windows in the kitchen/dining room accentuate the thick walls, and combined with the chandelier they create a truly unique room.  In the evening, the lovely blue spotlights under the units, create the perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening around the dining table.

Off of the kitchen the utility room houses an additional toilet, a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a very useful additional fridge and freezer.

On the first floor is the master bedroom.  This extravagantly large room has a high ceiling, chandelier, king size four poster bed, and sumptuous burgundy carpet.  The en suite has rather large 8 foot doors, and with full sized patio windows in this lovely bedroom which look out onto the private and very attractive front courtyard, this truly unique room oozes romance and luxury.  Some couples even hire out The Chapel just for themselves, and for those special occasions guests can even choose to have silk bedding.  How's that for luxury.  (Special packages and prices currently being added to the prices page.)

On the second floor there are two additional double bedrooms which both have their own unique character, with high ceilings, exposed beams, flint walls and windows with far reaching views.  Each bedroom has an inbuilt wardrobe, a small dressing table with mirror and chair, a rustic round chest of draws with matching bed side tables, and bedside lamps.  Both bedrooms according to our guests, have amazingly comfortable beds.  They are both 6 foot long and zip link, so they can remain as one large luxurious bed, or be converted in to two singles.  Each bedroom has its own en suite.

In addition, each bedroom also has a 22" television with free view and DVD, allowing parents to be able to send the little darlings off to bed, as they put their feet up and watch something nice on tv, whilst snuggling into the big squishy sofas.  Equally the little darlings could always send mummy and daddy off to bed with a DVD whilst they party!  However, children please do remember, only the walls are 3 feet thick and not the doors, so keep the noise down or you might wake your parents up!

Just in case you decide to bring the relatives, additional portable beds are available.  There is a 4 foot divan bed and two single 3 foot portable beds.  These beds can be placed in any of the bedrooms.  Travel cots are also available.

At the rear of The Chapel there is a secluded garden which is perfect for relaxing or eating alfresco.  The newly created dining area in the beautiful alcove, surrounded by a grade 11 listed flint, stone and brick wall, is perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal or barbecue whilst protected from the elements.  In the summer this area catches the sun in the late afternoon and is a lovely place to sit and relax.

However, for younger energetic visitors who need to let off a little steam, there is a secluded hard surface play area with a basket ball net a short distance from the front of The Chapel.  This area is for the exclusive use of all guests at Manston Court.  Although close, it's far enough away from The Chapel garden, that adults can relax or finish their meal in peace, whilst the children play.  Conversely mums, it is a great place to send dad to get some 'quality time' with the kids whilst you relax!

Finally, in the sitting room by the beautiful staircase, there is a servant's bell.  There was also one on the upstairs landing by the kitchen until the builders lost it under the floor boards!  However, the one thing missing in this amazing property is the servant.  She says that she is definitely on strike for the forseeable future......So push the bell at your own risk!

Check in time for The Chapel is 3.30pm, and check out time is no later than 11am.  Thank-you.

Tea and coffee is provided for visitors upon arrival, however for those staying for a week or more, an additional welcome pack is also provided.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Chapel, and hope that you really enjoy your stay.
